Okay, this might take a while so bear with me. I just bought a 83 Z with crossfire injection and was wondring what specific mods to do. I know exhaust, headers, etc. But what kind of heads, what size runners, chambers and where do i find them? What is a good cam? Thanks for your help.

 

If you want to make real power you'll probably have to ditch the cross-fire induction system. Just about anything else can make lots more power due to lousy (if any) availability of high flowing intake manifolds for X-Fire.

 

I've heard of people getting good performance from crossfire engines. Do a search here for Tom 400 CFI .

I think the worst thing about the cfi engines were the cams. The first things I would do is get a cam for it, and do the exhaust.
