I put an open element in my 91 RS 305 a few months ago but I want to do more. Should I keep the open element and buy a ram air hood or should I get a dual snorkel? What are the goods and bads of both?

 

If it's an either/or situation, I would get a "ram air" hood and keep your open element, as it will take in more air than the dual snorkel intake.

I have the dual snorkel, and it's not as good as an open element in my opinion, but at the time I wanted to keep a stock look, with some gain in power until I built an engine.

go with the ram air you'll be getting tons more air.. I wish I could find a L69 air cleaner that wont cost me an arm and a leg.
