Like everyone else I want to add more power. I've done alot of reading and see the first things i have to do is add camshafts, headers, intake, and so on. But how difficult is it to put in new camshafts or headers? Exactly what is the process?

a cam is deff not one of the first mods to do on your car. you will need to have money for head and chip work if you do, plus other stuff. headers would be a good start for you, especially on an f-body cuz of the restrictive stock manifolds. start with basic mods that push more air into and out of the engine. another good mod to do is to get a set of gears. i have heard that exhaust and gears really make these cars come alive! hope this helps a little.

Welcome aboard! Take some time to read the stickies at the top of the TBI forum. They go into great detail on what makes your TBI LO3 tick. There is also a thread that covers the details of a cam swap.

Yep, I agree with the above. Stick with something like an open element, some headers and full exhaust and then some gears and posi and you might be happy with the results w/o diving into such things as your internals and computer tuning.
By the way, if you figure out how to change out the camshafts, I would love to know. You would be the first.
