know if any of yall know how many horses
id gain with these couple bolt ons...
1)edelbrock preformer intake
2)heedman 1-5/8 headers w/y pipe
can i drop into at least 15s
im puttin out 170hp bone stock
88 camaro 305 w/tbi

I'd definetaly say you should be in the 15s. My 89 305 TBI w/ only a cat-back and Jet Stage II chip ran 15.7 @ 86 MPH. That was with 3.08s and an open rear. Granted this was done at MIR, which is just a little above sea level, but you should still be in the 15s.

I think 30 hp is a little extreem of an estimate. Without a cam change to match that intake your not going to see that much. I think what you will see is an ability to breathe in the upper RPMs and a slight raise in yout TQ curve. I would assume aroun 20hp, but if you could bump up your fuel 1 or 2 PSI to match the added airflow you will have you might be able to get that 30hp

86 Trans Am w/ built 355TPI with SLP goodies and too much other stuff to List. One sweet *** car, wish I would have had a good enough Job to pay insurance on three cars so I could keep it, but for a 89 Turbo Trans Am w/ Low miles, I think I made the right choice!
