off my friends '89 Chevy 1/2 ton 5.7ltr pick-up. Anybody know if this will fit - or what mods will be necessary for - my '93 Chevy 1/2 ton 5.7ltr?

What mods do u have on ur 305? U don't need a big 670cfm tb unit if u have a mild or stock 305 cause it will just be an overkill.

It should fit. But if it has 2" blades, then you'll need to either bore out your manifold, buy a new manifold, or buy a reducer from holley. If its overkill right now..who cares..its free, get it. Why buy it down the road when you can get it now for free?

EDIT: Depending on the your/his drivetrain config..it might not have one of the linkages.

I think that there's not as much of a concern of over-induction with TBI as there is with a carburetted engine. Sensibly, you should be able to go a little larger, and still see good torque.
Besides, as Car Craft always says: "There's no such thing as too much carb, only not enough engine."
