HP gain will be almost zero but it will clean up the engine bay and make the engine easier to work on. If You can either get an AC delete pully from the dealer or get an old thirdgen belt setup from the junk yard. The old setup was more compact. The AC only drains power while its working, the rest of the time it spinns freely

its true that removing the A/C will not increase your perfromance much, but i do know for sure it will make you car a little lighter which could translate into about .50 to .1 tenth off your ET times due alittle less weight, i've already removed my A/C and i found a junk yard that has the parts i need, if your A/C doesnt work and you can pull it out, it will be worth it

Something to throw out here for you guys. I went through the same thing of not finding a a/c delete heater box and looking at it last weekend planning a head change in the car I wanted it gone.

So I removed it took off the top part of the coil cover and the coil and reworked the lower part of the air box to work without it using some .250" thick black plastic that I had on hand. It works great and using the same motor with the larger a/c fan it moves alot of air through the vents.

You can do it if you have the materials and some fabrication skills. I know that a picture is worth a thousand words but I don't have a dig camera yet. But I will say that it really gives tons more room on that side of the engine.
