383 CFI

My 383 Crossfire started up last night. It's a 4 bolt main, 6" rods, KB forged flattops, Dart heads w/a little clean up, 1.6-1 full rollers, Crane 2040, Long tube headers, and a massively ported Crossfire manifold. I got the EBL Flash and will be tuning this weekend if all goes well, it definately didn't like the stock ECM. Updates as they occur. thanks to RBob for the input and the product.

xrcrx-

Please keep reporting on your progress, I plan to also have a 383/EBL in my future and it would be great to hear about the steps you take to get yours running and tuned well.

Re: 383 CFI

that cam is pretty mild. you should have a faster learning curve than i did. On the CD RBOB gives some startup changes you may need to do in EBL.bin. i assume you are aware of that.

it did not like the stock ECU? did you datalog the startup? i would have like to have seen BLM if it would go to CL. A heated GM NB02 sensor is a good idea. If you have data logged B4 prior to LearnVE would will have a pleasant experience with new program.

this should be fun.

Re: 383 CFI

I went milder for a good DD. the overall combination oughta be quite nice and strong everywhere. I got lucky, just got an e-mail from Elkabong(don't know if he visits here). He's sending me the bin off his 383 CFI to get me a better starting point. I'm going over to Ken's in the morning and get the HAM board and EBL Flash installed and get some tutoring on tuning.
