Vacuum Help / Part Identification
All,
I have read and searched for the past four or five months concerning swapping out an L03 305 TBI in a 92 Camaro to a 350 TBI. I have completed the swap this weekend following all the suggested part replacement in the stickies here on the site as well as regular maintenance parts. My problem is a vacuum problem and I aparently have either failed ot label parts correctly and or mislabled a part.
First, does the 305/350 have 2 knock sensors? If not what is the sensor on the cylinder head on the passengers side below the exhaust manifold that is similar in configuration to a knock sensor only smaller (AIR Sensor maybe)?
Second, on the intake manifold, if looking from the front of the car, behind the TBI and to the immediate right of the EGR is a small cylinder with a nipple (not sure if it is a sensor or vacuum device)
Lastly, above the rear of the intake manifold, to the left and above the distributor is a small black device that looks similar to a top toy. It has three connections and I think it has to be a vacuum device, I have it connected to the vacuum line going to the vacuum pump and canister, and one connection to the vacuum line going into the firewall near the heater core hose. I have no idea what the other conneciton is supposed to go to (assuming I have the other two routed correctly.
Any help or diagrams would be appreciated. I have used the vacuum diagrams posted here but they do not show the devices I am talking about. I have the EGR and EGR selenoid routed correctly. I did not reinstall the AIR or smog devices.
Thanks,
Mark

Re: Vacuum Help / Part Identification
Just for clarification I did change the knock sensor on the drivers side to a new 350 knock sensor. the other sensor on the passengers side came off of the 305 block.
