Fuel Pumps

What ever you do...If your fuel pump goes out spend the extra money to buy a premium AC Delco OE. Whatever you do DO NOT BUY A MASTERS FUEL PUMP!! Ive had 4 of those things go out in the last 5 years!! The part that always seems to fail on those damn pumps is the piece of rubber tubbing that connects the pump to the steel tubing. If this pump goes out on me one more time im going to buy the AC Delco.....

Re: Fuel Pumps

I needed more pump then a stock replacement carter pump and I went with a walbro and so far so good. I have reason to believe the walbro is slowly letting the smoke out of the stock miniature fuel pump harness and connector on the tank side of the sender assembly though. The vortec 350 pumps are bad about burning the connectors up because they pull more juice and I know the walbro has to take more juice then a stock 10 psi TBI pump.

Re: Fuel Pumps

I put in the Walbro 255 2 years ago and all is good. Much better than not having a working fuel pump!
