New Pump - No Start

Put a new fuel pump in a 92 camaro. Also installed a new hose between pump and outlet with new clamps and a new strainer. There as about 6 gallons of fuel in the tank. When I turn the key I can hear the pump run. Tried a vacuum pump on the line under the hood and it sucked gas all the way from the tank. I need some ideas before I pull the tank again.

Re: New Pump - No Start

with the feed line to the TBI disconnected, does fuel come out when you prime the line?

Re: New Pump - No Start

No fuel comes out of the disconnected line. I can pull it with a vacuum pump.

Went to supper. Came back. Now pump does not run at all now . No power to fuel pump relay.

I quit for today. Maybe blew the fuse.

I am about to agree with the last repair shop that worked on this car. It is possessed!

Re: New Pump - No Start

Took tank back off and wires in connector at pump were reversed. Switched them and pump pumps off the car. Now have to put car back together. Thanks for the ideas.
