sound good?

i have a 305 tbi and i am NOT going to switch it out for a 350, however, i want a little more horsepower. i only have a flowmaster cat back now. but i want to add headers, y pipe, and high flow cat. i also want a 46mm throttle body with spacer, custom prom, and an open element k&n air filter. i know it's not going to make my car a rocket, but do you think this is worth it? having a complete exhaust system i figure is roughly 20 hp even though they say muffler=20 and headers=20. i feel more definite with 20hp total. and then having a better flowing throttle body should be maybe 10. and the prom is guranteed to give 25 if i use a 160 degree thermostat and 91 octane fuel. this all seems good but am i missing something? i mean this would be roughly 55-60hp and only spending about $800. let me know what you think and don't say switch to a 350. i'm not going to and if you feel the need, do it somewhere else.

Re: sound good?

get a 350!

j/k lol

why not swap in an lt1 cam if youre gonna get a chip anyways? thats an extra 20 bucks give or take and will bump you up a nice bit. throttle body spacer wouldnt do too much just a waste of money and makes it harder to intall the throttle body with the fuel lines, tv cable, and throttle cable. also maybe a new aftermarket intake manifold which you could get a carb one then put an adapter on which will be like a spacer. the cam will get you a good amount of gain read up on it and the manifold should do the same especially if youre getting a chip burned. also nice choice with the full exhaust.

Re: sound good?

People say you dont need a bigger throttle body untill like 300HP or something. They also say, that the PROM chips you can order online dont really work that great, and that it's better to invest your money in chip burning equipment or an EBL.
