how much of a tuning nightmare am i in for?

i've got a 93 Chevy truck that was originally equipped with a 5.7 and a 4L60E, and an 8625. my original plan with the truck was to put a 454/4L80E/7427 combo in it, so i changed the entire dash harness (had some other options the truck didnt have)- the electrical system is now entirely from the 94. came across some hurdles in life and sold the 454, and was planning on putting the original stuff back in. well, i've got another opportunity at a truck that needs the 4L60E that i had originally built for this project, so im back to using the 80E.

here's what i'll have:
L05 shortblock
stock L31 heads and roller cam setup
dual plane carb intake w/ adapter
headers and unknown exhaust as of yet
fuel system will remain mostly stock (stock hi press pump, small injectors in the 454 TB) i will be running an Aeromotive AFPR

what kind of issues am i going to run into with running what is essentially an entire 454 TBI system on such a mild 350? are the ultimate TBI mods worth doing with such a mild small block fed by a BBC TB?

If you have a stock cam, or if the engine makes less then 270hp theres no need for a 454tbi

other than the fact that my 350 TB wont plug directly into the 454 TBI harness that is in the truck that controls the 4L80E, i agree. not planning on running the 454 TB because i want to, but because it plugs right in to everything else that i have to use.

Re: how much of a tuning nightmare am i in for?

too much info i think... i'll simplify a little...

i have what is essentially a complete 94 454/80E setup, i want to replace the 454 with a 350 that has been worked a bit:

L05 shortblock
stock L31 heads and roller cam setup
dual plane carb intake w/ adapter (no egr)

what kind of hassles am i going to run into?

Why not change the connectors to use the smaller TB?

Not sure, but you may be able to get the 5.7 Tb with the correct connectors so no hacking.

Re: how much of a tuning nightmare am i in for?

correct me if im wrong, but the 454 uses the round TPS and flat 4 IAC. this being the case, you can buy the pig tails for both of those and splice them in.
