Need some more advice

Ok so heres the deal. Ive got an 88' TA with an LO3. Its been rebuilt and only has about 25k on it. Ive maintained it very well and have only been to the track once. I have many plans for the engine since i have alot of parts that i have either gotten for free or very cheap. So far here is what i have to install:

Hooker Super Competition Headers w/ 3" Collectors
Magna Flow 3" Stainless Steel High Flow Cat
TBI Spacer
B&M Trans Pak Shift Kit Stage 2
Full 3" exhaust

Now here is what ive already installed:

Edelbrock Open Element w K&N 3" filter
Cat Delete (putting one back on, i hate the black shoot on my rear bumper)
Accel U Groove Platnium Spark Plugs
Accel Tan Distributor Cap & Rotor
Accel 8mm Yellow Racing Series High Voltage Wires
Flowmaster 80 Series Crossflow Muffler

Now my queston is, besides a cam upgrade, i was looking on a head upgrade and an intake manifold upgrade. (what brand of heads should i look into, nothing too exspensive tho) I was told to go with a carburated manifold and then buy a adapter plate for my TB unit because its better then buying an aftermarker TB manifold. Any truth to this? I do plan on possibly doing a 350 swap this winter but since this motor has been rebuilt and runs awsome i figured id start here just to see what kind of numbers i can produce. I have been lookin at a Edelbrock Dry NOS kit on the jegs website. Im thinking this could really help me in my building process along with a set of 4.10's or 3.73's. Is there anything else anyone can advize me on on getting the most out of this engine while not having to spend an a$$ load of $$$$$? Ive got few other things in mind such as a chip, pulley kit and a few other small things. Im not trying to make this into a drag car by any means, just a weekend crusier and possibly a daily driver when needed. I already have the edelbrock Tubular toruqe arm on its way to my door, and a morso oil pan since mine leaks, but what are the best upgrades for my money is my biggest question. A friend of my dad tells me in just throwing my money away cause im dumping it into a trans am, but thats only cause he owns a corvette w/ the 350 TPI. I also have ordered a set of 245/50/16 Nitto 555R Drag Radials for the rear so i can know i can hook up with the track. I know holley makes an aftermarket TB unit so would that also be a good upgrade to look into? Please people lend me your advice. Im only looking to get 225-240 hp outta this engine, and im dont want to just get there by using NOS. I also plan on deleteing the smog pump and A.I.R stuff and just leaving a cat on. Let me know what you all think thanks!

If there is anything else you can think of performance wise that i didnt list them please!
