hits about 3200rpm and then just loses power and has no go?? where should I start? kinda lost on this one even though I know it's something stupid but with my job lately I have no common sense left to figure this out... Also, if I back up (it has full time posi) and give it gas to turn and back up, when I let off the gas, it dies, put it in park, start it back up again and then take off....

if it helps any, its a:

Chevy 350 bored .30 with a 750 carb., elec fuel pump, 700R4 Trans.

someone please throw some ideas at me please.... I'm sick of being spanked by Honda Civic's....

well your either losing spark or fuel somehow. find out what your losing and fix her up!

 

I had that problem and it was my computer then i changed the motor since i had another one and now works fine

 

For a carb'd engine this is not the correct board... TBI is EFI.

Yes it is black, black and beautiful... T-Tops with the gray/silver IROC on the doors. Where you at now?

i have a fuel pressure gauge in the fuel line, what should be the psi on that at any given rpm, if someone has a breakdown on psi/rpm that would help a lot! waiting for the woman to bring it back to re-time it again (got a better timing light this time!)

nice, i was studying abroad up at wichita state the fall semester of 07. we went down to okc on a trip. musta been in early september we went down there. i'm not sure but i think i remember it had an awesome exhaust note when cruising by and its shiny black paint was absorbing all the light i remember we were heading to the park where they had some kind of theatre play going on.
i'm back in austria again, but we had a great time back then. did a lot of road trips with our 92 mk7 lsc couldn't get hold of a reliable cheap f-body lol.

anyways, you'll be better off posting this in the carb board, or general engine tech. people there will be prolly better at helping you out with the carb. or maybe it's an ignition issue (you should check all these components like coil, wires, etc).
