So motors in...what a bitch, but its in.
So after a ton of stupid hassles and a few modifications the motor is finally in and running. Surprisingly ran pretty decent for no tuning at first. Then i decided to change the injectors to 65lb at 20 psi, couldn't tune out enough fuel ( then realized i hadn't switched the BPW constant) so I switched back to 55's at 23psi. Runs real good now and have been working the VE's quite a bit. running about 38 total spark timing. I kept the modded spark tables i had made for my tbi and just re-added the additional spark timing adder i had zeroed out. However i think i am going to need to tweak them a little. Anyway here is quick run down of what i've got:
L03
GM 601 53cc heads
LT1 Camshaft
1.5 roller tip rockers
Weiand stealth dual plane manifold
Free tbi mods, 55lb @ 23psi
Trans debt tbi adapter
Heddman headers and ypipe
No cat
Hooker aero chamber catback
Corvette servo
1LE driveshaft
All the good ignition stuff
All and all, i am somewhat happy with the motor, I didnt spend much on it. The car is pretty gutless down low, but i assume its b/c of how the motor is setup and how i lack gears, it needs 3.73s BAD. Once over 3k it pulls real strong to about 5500-6ish. I was doing alittle research about built 305s and cam across car crafts 325hp one, and how it made peak torque with world t/r heads @ 3900rpm and with vortecs it made it at 4800rpm. I believe my combo is clicking in at similar rpm's (not quite near those numbers though, i would say more like 250hp at best) I have never really had a car that has a peak torque at such a high rpm so its a little strange feeling, I'm used to good 'ol tpi. Anyway nothing a little re gearing couldn't fix so that's next on my list, might at well upgrade to a 4th gen rear so i can have rear disc brakes anyway.

I also need to redo the intake hat...Im gunna extend it and move my charcoal canister and run the filter down in that area. half the filter gets blocked off bc the hood hits it when its closed. I JUST BARELY got the hood to close with the manifold and adapter so..
