305 build....will i need to change ecm?
well i'm not new here but i was away for about a year since i had lost my first f-body and went to a turbo talon. but since now im back to another f-body and loving it, i would like to do some work to my lO3. im thinking about putting the holley 670cfm tbi setup with a 4bbl carburetor intake manifold with a tbi adapter plate (havent decided on which brand for the manifold but open to suggestions). im also thinking of using the world products head for the 305. this is the link with info on the heads- http://www.jegs.com/i/World+Products...60-1/10002/-1# or would i be better off with vortec heads and a vortec compatible intake? what is the preferred combustion chambers for the LO3?
as i know practically nothing about a good cam for these cars. I asked a friend and he suggested this cam by comp cams. Xtreme Energy™, XR270HR.
my instincts tell me this might be too aggressive with the rest of the setup i'm planning and im actually hoping to get some suggestions from you guys who obviously posses more experience than my friend with these motors. ill be doing full exhaust, tune up, most likely 3.73 or 3.42 and prolly a higher stall converter, fuel pump and everything else i need to support the mods. now my main question is...what do i have to do to support these parts ecm wise. what would i have to do to get this thing tuned right? sorry if questions are major noob questions but im 20 years old and most of my engine knowledge lies within the mitsubishi 4g63 or 4g64 engines. never got to play with my first F car since it was a heep of junk not worth spending 20 bucks on.(no paint, mildew growing in the interior
, knocking motor, and rust that questioned the car being able to hold my weight) and now that i have another one id like to make it my baby and have it make more ponies to the wheels.
im open to suggestions except for motor swap suggestions.....id llike to get back at those who make fun of my LO3...if i have missed anything i need, feel free to mention it. im all ears and willing to learn as much as i can. thanks in advance for all the help

With aftermarket cyl heads and camshaft, of course youll need to make some changes to your ECM.

Explains about the ECM changes u need, read the stickies and do some searches.
Youll find everything u need to know.
