that looks like the spot where the heating tube?(not sure on the exact name at the moment) connects to the manifold then to the stock air filter housing to help warm the engine faster in cold weather

its for the stove pipe (flex metal tubing) to go to the air cleaner to function the thermac device to help the motor warm up
