i've been googlin and searchin here, no luck thus far but i know these arent hard questions to answer.

a friend of a friend handed me this mess to contemplate.

he swapped a 1989 350 and 747ecm into a 95 body, but not the wiring harness. the truck supposedly runs better on the '95 ecm (which i can't find an i.d. for yet) but either way it's loading up and running rich/ runnin like crap missing.

the 95's ecm says 396 for the last 3 digits.

that's what i know.

Anyone know anything of this "396" ecm?

were there wiring differences between the two years? still obd1?

i'd appreciate a lil insight need some base info before i start diggin into it.

also, '95 and '89, same size injectors?? both 350s i'm told.
