Are barrel crimps in fuel tank ok?
So I just installed a new fuel pump in my truck from Harris Performance. Its a 255 lph pump. It comes with a harnes and about 3 inches of wire and the connector does not fit my stock sender unit. I was forced to splice the new pump in. Any concerns with having barrel crimps inside the fuel tank? I double and trippled check they were "GOOD" crimps and the wires were not even thinking about pulling out.
Looking at how exposed the wires are on each end of the connectors in there, I doubt its any cause for concern but figured I'd ask here.

After sleeping on it, I realized that what I did was not the "right way" to do it and droppped the tank again today, cut the crimps out, soldered the wires together and used two sleeves of heat shrink.
