hi there im a proud owner of a 1991 camaro rs 305 tbi and a 1996 trans am
i bought the camaro two weeks ago i paid 800 cause supposibly it had blown head gaskets cause it was overheating the problem was the water hoses on the back of the block were torn so heres my ?
can i run lt headers without problem?
wich cam can i run?
can i take the egr crap off?
what do i need to do to convert to carb?
does a lt1 cam work in 305?
thanks in advance

Welcome to thirdgen.org
Shorty headers are easier and give better ground clearance. It is possible to run LT's but I believe you will end up with custom exhaust and most likely not be emission compatible.
You will need to be more specific about your intentions with the car for a cam recommendation.
EGR stuff is needed if you plan to pass emissions. You will probably also get the check engine light if you remove the stuff.
There is a tech article here on converting to a carb. Go to thirdgen.org main page then click technical articles. There will be many articles. Again, this will probably keep you from passing emissions.
There is a sticky at the top of the TBI forum all about LT1 cams. Actually, reading through several of those stickies would be a good idea.
