Ok i have a 89 camaro with a tbi on it. Lately i have been have a interment problem were the car will sometimes start and other times it just does not do anything no crank.

I have fuel pressure, spark i belive it in the vats i replace the ignition cylinder the starter relay and the NSS is set right. But the relay won't close its self if i hold it closed it will crank and if i pour gas into it will start. But it won't spray at all from the injectors.

So i am totally at a loss here on what to do any help would be great!!

 

i had this same problem this spring cause my dipstick tube rusted out and coated the starter. turn the key and everything powers up but no crank, but all i did was cleaned up all my wires on the starter post and put a new starter in it. don't know if this helps at all.

 

if you hadn't said sometimes it cranks and sometimes it doesn't I would say it was probably the fuse near the battery causing the injectors nor to squirt or fuel pump not to turn on. Does the car turn over when it doesn't crank? if it is turning over I don't think its the VATS because when my VATS was messing up it wouldn't do anytying and the security light was staying on
