injector flow rates

So i'm a little confused and would appreciate a little help in clearing up tbi injector flow rates. I've seen different flow rates for what is ?? the same injector. The 5.7 tbi injectors is their flow rate 55 lbs or 61 lbs or is the 61 lbs the truck 5.7 injector and the 55 lbs the injector used on car 5.7? Or is the 61 lbs what they are rated at and the 55 lbs is what they deliver? And now to the meat of the question, I've bumped my fuel pressure up to 14 psi so what is my flow rate now on stock 5.7 tbi injectors? If i have missed something in y reading then hit me with the search stick. Thanks ahead of time for any clarification on this for a nube.

Re: injector flow rates

I have literally tested hundreds of TBI injectors. The actual flow rate at 14.7psi (which all of mine are tested at) is ~715-730cc/min for 5235206 injectors.

So, the 5.7L 5235206 injectors are definitely considered 61lb/hr as GM didn't have their injectors tested at 14.7psi it was closer to 12psi.

These are "realistic" numbers based on factual data.

Hope this helps

Re: injector flow rates

yep it did help, but i want to check my math. I converted the flow rate you gave and came up with 70.94 lbs/hr. using 6.22 lbs/gal for the gas. then converted this number to 12 psi and came up with 64.1 lbs/hr. just to give a reference point. Then i converted your flow rate at 14.7 psi to mine which is 14 psi and came up with 69.23 lbs/hr.. Point out any glaring mistakes because im putting this # into my pcm. And thanks again to all the gurus out there for sharing and helping us newb's.
