Ok its a 383tbi , with stock 350tbi heads , and http://www.compperformancegroupstore...ry_Code=HFTXFI

It sputters quite a bit when accelerating , i think the timing is off , what should base timing be for this cam ? Also i am yet to set the valves since break in . Any advice or helpful hints would be appreciated

You have a lot of work to get this combo going.

1) ECM - what is the state of your ECM - e.i. stock (1227846?) with factory EPROM? Please provide service number and BCC.
2) Fuel system - what is your fuel pressure and injector size? Any modification to TB?
3) Intake manifold - factory or AL aftermarket.
4) Exhaust system - factory or modified?
5) Cam shaft 208/217 with 113 LSA 252XFI H13 (nice split duration cam)

All of the above will require substantial VE and SA table work (assuming 305 to 383 swap). So, take your time list details for all the above as a starting point.
