IAT Sensor

Why does this camaro I just bought have no IAT Sensor? The motor/wire harness is out of a 1988 Suburban and when I look at the parts list for that truck on Autozones website they sell one for that truck.

Is it housed in the throttle body instead of the air cleaner?

'88 Suburbans don't have an IAT sensor.
