Another tbi swap question
Another tbi swap question
Hey guys I know that you are all camaro/firebird guys and I have a thing for them as well.(best cars out there in my opinion) But at this time I am working on a 87 chevy short wide 4x4. I have read some of your posts and you guys are extremely knowledgable of gm vehicles. So here is my question: I have a 98 chevy z 71 and want to take the vortec 350 out and put it in my 87 short wide which has a 350 tbi. I was wondering what all would it take to complete this swap. Any answers I can get I would greatly appreciate. Thanks.

Re: Another tbi swap question
I assume you're asking about the intake manifold.
You could get an aftermarket dual plane to fit the Vortec heads, then use an adaptor to mount the TBI on.
Of course you would have to re-mount everything that was previously mounted on to your stock TBI intake manifold, but that should effect function other than the EGR.
