This is going in an otherwise stock 50k mile 305. Just trying to figure out if 1.6s are overkill for the engine or not. If so, I can get a set of 1.52s.

Also, am I going to need to replace the springs with either? I have a set of stock LT1 springs.

If this is a stock motor and the valve springs haven't lost their tension and the rockers are in good shape, then why change,I doubt you'd see much of an improvement using a stock cam with 1.62 rockers

Its gonna be a stock bottom end with LT1 cam, lt4 valve springs (if they work...idk??) 1.6 comp cam roller rockers, and edelbrock performer intake, 750 edelbrock carb, and headers.

Also have stock lt1 pushrods too

Lt1/LT4 valve springs don't work the O.D of the springs are to big for the spring pockets. a 750 carbs to big go with a 600cfm carb. 1.6 money better spent elsewhere.

I took the 1.6s in on trade, I dont have the stock ones, I was going to use these for my LT1 Camaro but if they would help the 305, Id use them. Or if it will work, take my stock LT1 rocker arms and use them on the 305? Any issues doing this?

If that's the case no reason why you cant run 1.6's the gains will be hardly noticeable at best. you can use the lt1 rockers too if you wish. If you do use the the 1.6 ratios and depending on spring pressures my recommendation is to pin the studs, its cheap insurance and all you need is a few drill bits and some steel rod.
