Which A/C Compressor is the right one?
Hello!
i wrote down my datas/numbers of my orig. A/C compressor (89 T/A 5.0 TBI):
Harrison
Code No: 110381
Model No: 1131635
At www.rockauto.com i cannot find a ...635 A/C compressor.
I found following models:
+ ACDelco: replaces partnumber: 01134351, 88964869
+ 4Seasons: incl. LTR4 compressor; incl. clutch
+ ACDelco: {#19145013, 19192412} replaces 19145013COMPRESSOR,A/C 2 DOORS; LTR4 CMPR partnumber: 19192412
No ...635 model...
Which model can i use instead of the 635?
And what means LTR4 ?
best regards from austria/europe, Andreas

The 635 number is a Harrison specific number - Harrison was the GM contracted manufacturer at the time of the cars build - you won't find a 635 number anywhere as Harrison no longer makes that A/C compressor.
For the slight difference in money ($60) I'd go the AC/Delco route.

Re: Which A/C Compressor is the right one?
ok, i think i will buy an ACDelco compressor.
yes, the harrison is the OEM part 1131635
but no one of the two ACDelco compressors replaces my OEM partnumber.
the cheaper one replaces OEM 1134351, 88964869
and the second one replaces OEM 19192412 (19145013)
i'm not sure which one i have to buy.
and what is LTR4?

The long and heavy A/C compressor from GM was a 6-cylinder Axial unit--the A6.
In the late '70's, GM replaced the A6 compressor with a 4 cylinder Radial unit-the R4.
I don't know what an LTR4 compressor is, except that it's some variation of the Radial 4-cylinder (R4).

buy whatever new compressor you can get. aftermarket rebuilds are garbage. the delco rebuild I guess could be okay but i dont know if they subcontract them. (meaning they are putting the cheaper ones in thier own box which is what I think they do)
