Simple question: Disabling EGR confusion
Simple question: Disabling EGR confusion
I have a 1227747 ECM with an ASDU based .bin that I'm running in an AMC360. I no longer have an EGR so I want to dis-able it in the tune. I'm using Tuner Pro and each definition file (.xdf) describes the terms in the .bin a little differently which can be confusing. So the simplest way to ask the question is do I set the value at address 0x1B3 ("minimum coolant temp for EGR" in my .xdf) to FF or 00??
THANK YOU!

Re: Simple question: Disabling EGR confusion
First get $42-1227747-V4.xdf and $42-1227747.V3.adx from here:
http://www.gearhead-efi.com/Fuel-Inj...Information-42
They are way improved then what is on TunerPro Website and have Data Tracing set up, they work as a set. I have sent them to Mark at TP but he has not updated the website yet.
In the XDF Go to Bitmask "Options - 1 Pass EGR Diagnostic " uncheck so it does not do EGR test then also turn off code 32 for piece of mind.
Then to disable EGR in in scalers look for "EGR - Minimum Coolant Temp for EGR" and raise it all the way. It is commented there. If it never turns on well then you don't have to worry about all the other EGR VE or EGR Spark tables and all that junk. Works fine this way.
