I have a 1989 Pontiac Firebird with a 305 TBI Injected motor.
Ever since I have had the car it has always had a little problem here and there when you would shift into gear from park or idle it would throw the RMPS to about 200 then jump up to 1500 then back to a normal idle. I started off by replacing the ECM which made things run a lot smoother. This past thursday I replaced the TBI injectors and FPR which made things go to hell. Idles smooth in idle, but loses everything when it shifts into gear. High RPM going down the road, almost 4000 to shift into 3rd and 4th and wont run a lick under 2000 in 4th gear. Very ragged, sounds like a lawnmower. Please help me.
