'88 TBI LO3 T5 Vert Iroc

Hi Guys,

Recently began having a problem with starting. (bone stock except for Hooker Aerochamber cat-back)

Car will crank, almost start and idle, then die.

Repeat 2 or 3 times.

Waited 2 secs each attempt with a mostly non-responsive accelerator pedal.

Car would start after a few attempts and run normally once it did stay running.

Did notice a slight fuel smell occasionally, and also noticed the temp gauge is
pegged beyond hot, with car on, off, or indifferent. (not overheating)bad ground? Separate issue I'm sure.

I'm a carb guy, new to EFI. Leaky injectors, bad fuel pump and/or relay?

Possibly occurs more after sitting longer.

How to check fuel pressure?
