I have a 1992 camaro 5.0 TBI & i need to know what size the bolt is that connects the negative battery cable to the front of the passenger side head. Years ago i replaced the battery cable (because it was old & brittle) & I then grounded the new cable up near the alternator away from the engine block heat.
For the past few years sometime when i try to start the car the solenoid only clicks once, & if I turn the key off & then try to start it again (4 or 5 times) the engile will start. I replaced the starter over the past 2 years three times thinking it was the starter but it still does the same thing. Hot or cold, it doesn't matter. The car runs perfectly, i bought new 2 gauge battery cables, new alternator, new battery, ignition switch & still the same issue. I relocated the negative cable to the intake manifold & same issue. I have four 2 gauge grounds, 2 from the battery to intake manifold, 1 from battery to fender & 1 from battery to strut tower.
It starts normally about 70 percent of the time, but 30 percent of the time It clicks just once each time I turn the key.
I can only think that it must be that the battery ground in not actually bolted to the passenger side head as it was from the factory, & that is causing the problem.
Does anyone know what size bolt connects the battery ground to the passenger side head?

If it's screwed into the cylinder head it would be 3/8-16 which would have a 9/16 head.
