86 camaro w/7169 ecm 350 no start help
I have a 86 TPI set up w/ TPIS ram intake, installed on a 5.7 motor.
Car will not start I have a replacement ecm I pulled the cover on current ecm had a large blue chip plugged in (2.5" long). The replacement ecm (same #) has a small black covered chip to left (just over an inch) and a longer silver chip w/white tagged bar coded label next to it (#476012103036141).
Is the blue chip an aftermarket programmed chip? Will the replacement ecm work if good? I assume the chips would be interchangeable if that's what it is.
Car sat for 7 years fuel system had contaminated from methanol fuel deteriorated rubber fuel lines. Had to replace all fuel lines, fuel pump, regulator, all filters (2 gas filters because of rust in tank) even return line was caked with bits of rubber. and flushed fuel system. Even though it ran strong, prior to sitting w/TPI setup installed. I always wanted to use larger injectors since the 1986 camaro 305 system had only 19lb injectors. I installed a set of 30 lb I got cheap to test. Motor ran very rough (like a bad MAF) no idle then eventually no start. I put original injectors back in (I pulled injector screens in case of rubber but were clean), I still get a no start, so I replaced plugs (fouled) and wires. Motor was bal, blue-printed, cam, w/roller rockers dyno tested w/850 holly carb @375HP before the TPIS was installed so was a strong runner.

Re: 86 camaro w/7169 ecm 350 no start help
Why are you posting about this on the TBI forum?
Do you have spark across the plug gap, at the right time?
Do you have a burnable fuel mixture?
Do you have compression?
Do you have someplace for the exhaust to escape?
If you've got ignition, fuel, compression, and an exhaust system that isn't plugged, the engine will run.
My WAG is that there was so much excess fuel in the cylinders, that the new plugs are fouled again.
