Does anyone have any tips or instructions on how to remove the fuel injector from the crossfire throttle body? I removed all but one of the torx screws which appears impossible to access. Is a special tool required to reach or perform this removal?

 

no special tools needed-just the 5 torx screws across the top need removed,and the upper cover should pop loose with a little gentle persuasion.The injector itself can pry up using the flange between the electrical pins-note position of the thin steel ring the outer o-ring seats against.Are you going to modify your crossfire injection any?

 

Thanks a lot for the info, just got the cover off your right its just the 5 torx screws, it wad just stuck. Does the injector just sit or does the screw in the center have to be removed? No plans just trying to get the old 1983 started up.

 

Got them out... Just the 5 torx on top and then I used a good pair of channel locks and slowly wiggled them out.

 

Ouch! that gouge on the injector might cause a leak check it carefully when you start it up.
