I developed ANOTHER oil leak, this time coming from one of the center intake bolts.

I JUST developed so I want to catch it before it makes a mess. The intake has been on for a while now. I retorqued it to spec after one heat up/ cool down and that was it.

Should I try retorquing the intake bolts before I pile RTV on top of the bolt? Or am I screwed?

BTW, how in the sam hell did oil find it's way all the up the bolt and then out from under it?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

You are having lots of problems with this intake stuff. When I installed my intake I just torqued it down a little past spec and then after like 2000 miles I made sure all bolts are still tight. I'm going to retorque the bolts down tomorrow since I remember just a few hundred miles ago one of the bolts was a bit loose.
I'm thinking you should have somebody else install the intake manifold and warrenty the labor!

Did you use bolt sealant on the intake bolts?

The center bolts holes aren't blind holes. Remove the center bolts, clean the threads of any oil then put on thread sealer. Then reinstall and torque the bolt.

I'm going to do a compression test. Somehow I think I have too much crank case pressure. The PCV is hooked up and everything. But I want to do the comp. test to make sure there is no blow-by.

If everything is cool, I want to try using one of those evac kits where you use the exhuast to pull the crank case gasses out.

Yes, the 45 degree fitting in the collector. That's probably not such a bad idea if you don't have emissions testing. Old school is sometimes the best way

is installing a new intake manifold always a pain in the *** like this? i plan on it pretty soon and was wondering if you have alot of down time afterwards and everything...
