taking off the converter

taking off the converter

I was wondering if I should take off the catyalitic converter on my 1992 rs to pick up a little horsepower but I've heard that it starts to drain your horsepower and your engine doesn't run as good. can anyone tell me if this is true or if you have done it does it work?

go for it... you wont be street legal though.
