hmmm just an idea......

well i was bored out of my mind today in school, well some of you will probally laugh at this but o well. would it be possible to somehow mount a 3 inch electric fan inside my snorkel ducting?? has this ever been done before? would i even notice any gains from it? i dont think it would have much of an effect while i was driving 30+ but maybe at takeoff........ if i got a powerfull enough fan. i might have to do some tweaking with my fuel presure. let me know what you think........

No, unless your car is powered by a steam engine, putting a fan in the duct will just get you laughed at by your friends. Not trying to flame you for being creative. Mods that do work are the ultimate TBI mods listed on this site. An open element air cleaner is also a good idea. Good luck with your car.

Hey sublime, i live in san antonio too, where in the city you at. BTW, i agree with RSragtop, i had the same idea once but when i thought about i didn't think the power gains would be significant enough to justify putting the fan in.

you'd be surprised what people buy. Go to www.google.com and look up "electric supercarger" There is a Vortec style on there somewhere powered by an electric motor which is what I was searching for, but there are a bunch of crap that is just 2 computer fans in the intake pipe.

Sublime i dont know of any Camaro clubs. I was hoping i could find out from someone on this website if their is one in the area. BTW, i live near ingram mall, and right next to holmes high school. Tas, what kind of power gains are they claiming will come from that "electric supercharger?"
