Is it the fuel pump?
Ok guys here is the deal, I have had my Lt1 cam for about 3 months and then installed my 3.42 gears from a 95 6 speed and every thing was going fine. The cam and the gears really woke up my car!! Every thing was going fine until a few days before i went to the track that my car started to act up. It started with a hesitation during warm up and then it felt like it had a lack of fuel through out the driving range. Then I took off the OE off the tbi to check the fuel spray and I looked at the fuel spray pattren and it seemed to sputter out fuel when the hesitation would start. I was woundering if this could be a fuel pump problem?
P.S. I have a new fuel fillter,O sensor, colant sensor, and my TBI is all modded out, my car has 129K miles on it

yeah you need to check your fuel pressure before the FPR and see what it is. if it is low or not stable then it is probably your fuel pump

When my dads pump went out (93 Sierra 450 tbi) the truck would spudder all the time. On the highway it would just cut out sometimes and when he'd crank it it would start then spudder way down, then pick back up.
I'd check your fuel pressure like DM said and see if its chaning all the time. If you're replaced yo filter, then its prolly the pump. Uhg, that must be a hell of a job to change that.

when my fuel pump was going out it would fire right up but would jump around and die unless i revved the hell outta it and it would run like **** and stall until it got going then it drove fine. then for awhile it stopped and ran fine then one day just completely went out. i replaced it and it fixed the problem and i relized that its been going out for awhile because it had so much more power after that
its amazing what fuel does for a engine
