Just curious. Were you going to bore a stock 1 11/16" TBI to 48mm? Has any one done this? I heard that 2" will break threw the casting but how about 48mm?

Did you find a source? And how much $$$$ are they?
Thanks.
By the way, I calculated the % of difference of surface area compared to the 2" butterflies and the 48mm would be like 10.7% smaller then say a Holly 670. I realize that the flow numbers may not follow the same curve, but if it was somewhere in the same ball park that would make it arround 600 cfm. I think that would be enough to feed my next project.(HO350). It makes peak HP at 5000, and according to my calcs a 350 at 100% volumetric eff. would only displace 600 cfm at 6 grand. And being NA I wont hit 100% anyway.
Before anyone jumps on my but, my goal is a healthy daily driver, not a 11 sec 1/4 machine. I want to make sure that I keep the vacume up.
Thanks.
