manifold q's

i don't mean to start anything but i have a cpouple of questions about the single plane and dual plane manifolds. has any of you run the dual plane with the tbi? back a few years ago i was looking to build up a nova with a stout 350. it was gonna have 300-350 horse. a little low for how it was gonna be built but i thought it was a good compromise. anyway there is a trick to dual planes that makes them act like single planes. if you notch the divider about 1/2 to 1 inch, depending on breathing ability of motor, then you could pull high rpm horses without sacrificing low rpm or off idle torque. has anyone expirimented with this? i want to get a new intake for my camaro, since it is soon not to be a daily driver anymore. what benefits does the single plane have over the dual plane on tbi cars? like i said before, i found a good flowing intake but it's dual plane and would rather keep low end torque as well as torque to 5000 rpm which is where single plane really wakes up. i'm not gonna take my motor that high, so i don't see the benefits of single plane yet. anyone willing to prove me wrong or show me different please do so, but keep in mind this is not for those that want to belitle others for a thought. any info will be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance.

I believe Edelbrock already does this with the RPM/Air Gap Intake. I haven't used it, but I've heard it's super sweet!
