stock aluminum TBI intake?

anyone have any stats on how many L03's came with aluminum intakes? I'd never heard of these on L03's, and I found one that seems to be, and probably is aluminum.. was this common? and, what would be the approximate weight difference in the iron and aluminum intakes?

They're all aluminum. Iron would probably be 25 lbs more.

if you are good with a dremel tool and feel like trying a little experiment for us you could try to cut an opening btween teh two sides of the plain to create more shared space, the lack of plenum volume is what really hurts teh stock intake. i have been wondering if it woudl help at all, but i have no way to tell without doing it hehe
