I want to get rid of EGR

I want to take my EGR out....Can I just pull it out & not have any problems or will I start throwing codes?? the infamous code 42 maybe?

you need to get a chip with the egr setting erased if you don't want a code and you need to readjust your timing to compensate for the EGR not being there anymore.
