can i use LT1 heads on an L98?

hi, i have a set of lt1 heads and i was wondering if i bought the scoggin dickey tpi base if i could use the heads on an L98 block? thanks

LT1 heads and Vortec intakes have nothing to do with each other. LT1 heads arent ALL THAT anyway. It will require costly modifications to get them to work on a regular SBC. Not enough to justify buying better aftermarket heads

Another option I guess would be to get an LT1 intake and bolt it up. At that point... you might as well find an LT1 shortblock too. LOL I think modifying the heads to work a regular cooling system is not worth the trouble.

The cost of the machine work would probably not be worth it. Vortec heads are only $425 or so.

LT1 heads need to have a plate welded in to cover one of the coolant holes, new coolant holes drilled, and new intake holes drilled.

Yeah modifying them for standard cooling is just such a hassle when L31 Vortecs are based on the LT1 design, and improved.
