Install 160 degree thermostat and lower temperature fan switch. That will take care of all your problems. TPI's run hot from the factory for emissions control.

look underneath your car. there is an air deflector that bolts to your radiator that is used to scoop up air. If you dont see this or it is banged up pretty good (speedbumps do a good job of that), you are going to have overheating problem. I made the mistake of shaving just about 3/4 of an inch of my air deflector and my temps are running higher than they used to. This was before I knew how important that piece was.

Do a search on the board. this is a very common topic. Where in MD are you?

I am in Owings Mills and work in Columbia... It could be a number of things but alot of times it is something simple like the air deflector, or there is a dead bird or cat stuck in your radiator, the usual things. It could also be a sticking thermostat. Both things are an easy fix. You might also want to check your coolant. like i said do some searchs on the boards or look at some of the tech articles off of www.thirdgen.org main page. If you do a search on this board at the bottom of the page for something like "overheating" you see posts about peoples overheating problems.

It will help you get a few more ideas.

And if you ever get tired of that ride, let me know.. lol j/k I want a hardtop 91-92Z, to sit next to my other baby
