tell me what you think....ASAP

Well I went to the car auction and bought a 1990 nissan stanza for $1600.

The car seemed to be great, the water pump was leaking, so we filled up the radiator and attempted to bring it home and fix that later, im not sure if the car overheated or not because the temperature gauge always stayed the same, but the car started smoking a lot on the freeway and I pulled over and shut it off immediately and oil started leaking out.

So later tonight my friend it going to go get it and bring it to his shop and then we will see if the engine is dead or fixable, he said it might just need a $40 seal, but worst case scenario we would need to swap in a new motor.

So do you think there is any way the engine is fixeable? IT was running great and I turned the motor off before it seized up hopefully. It didnt look like all the oil came out of the engine, but do you think there is a chance it will be easily fixeable?
