re-breaking in my 327?
I have a '68 327 in my garage right now that I have been thinking about dropping in the RS. It ran perfectly but the vehicle it is in has been in storage since '87. What should I do before attempting to start it since it has been sitting for so long? I don't know what it was originally in, but the casting numbers on the heads indicate '68 327 heads. It has the factory rams horn style (Corvette?) exhaust manifolds. Any ideas as to what car this may have come from? Thanks!

Probably came from a Chevrolet. Most likely, a full-size.
Those manifolds are not Corvette-specific. They came on most Chevolet cars before 69. They will not work in any A or G chassis after 68, or any F chassis at all. AFAIK there's no way they'll go in your car.
If the heads don't have the bolt holes (most likely they don't since engines that used those manifolds also didn't come with that bracket arrangement) they won't accommodate your accessories.
But to answer your question, when you take a motor out of storage, before you start it you should: change the oil & filter; squirt a couple of teaspoons of oil into the spark plug holes; and spin it over a few times with the distributor disconnected to let some oil get into the lifters and stuff.
