Ok guys. Old topic, but I always enjoy reading replies. The difference this time is it's my money we're spending. Please take a gander at my signature and tell me how to spend $1000. Keep in mind, it's my daily driver and I'm trying to keep it streetable. I'm thinking LT1 cam, ported stock heads, and an Edelbrock TPI base. Does that sound like I'm in the right ballpark? ALL replies are appreciated.

 

Ported stock heads don't cost but $40 I thought if you do it yourself. I doubt all that comes to $1000. I'd say get a higher stall TC too and you'll really drop those ETs.

 

The reason the heads were going to be all that was because I was going to buy them pocket ported and rebuilt from one of the places in Car Craft. Those heads are about $475. My other idea was possibly getting Vortec heads and the SD intake along with the LT1 cam.
