is an 85 350 .30 over worth $350?
Hello guys,
This guy down the road has a 1985 355 for sale. It has the original towing cam and 327 heads. He also has a th350 with a shift kit. My question is, is it worth $350 dollars for this motor? I don't know much about it besides it's a four bolt and obviously it's been rebuilt. It is sitting behind his garage on the ground covered with a tarp. It has everything from oilpan to carb. Complete. How do I get this guy to come down on the price? I would like to get that th350 also because mine needs rebuilding. Any suggestions. I know this post might sound stupid, but you guys always seem to come up with different ideas that really make a difference. He also has a 350 from a 69 camaro. But I think the 355 would be a better investment.
Thanks guys,
I aprreciate all your help.

depends how many miles are onh the engine, and how it was built and by who. you never know if joe blow just threw it together
yeah, you'd have to take it apart to be absolutly sure. *** knows how many times i saw an engine like that for sale, and it turned out to have a bullet hole or something in it.
One engine i was working on for someone a while ago was a similer deal. I took it apart, and noticed that it still had the grinding compound from when the ground the cam bearings in it. Which is about the equivilence of putting fine sand into the oil. I couldnt save that one actualy.
