Need some other option Part II
Need some other option Part II
Thanks to everyone that responded for their help, I am stunned by the positive response to what was turning into a real nightmare for me. You guys are made of gold!
Sorry I made it so difficult to follow along, I did not realize just how helpful this site could be and really did not expect to get any responses at all.
Halfway through the rest of the today the mechanic calls me and says the car is ready and he thinks he found the problem. He goes on to explain that while removing the new parts he has installed he had to push some wires out of the way, the negine was running (poorly) and the second he moved those wires the car straightened up. He moved them back the car started acting up again, it was more than consistent, move the wires away... no more problem, move them back in... big problem. Upon further investigation he syas he found that one of the wires was rubbing against the manifold and had burned through the jacket and because of the stiffness of the wire it would generally stay put creating a short in the system. I was on the line with one of my own customers so I could not really afford the time to make him elaborate over the phone and even though I tried to make it into the shop before he left I still missed him, but they told me to come back on Tuesday for more details. I drove it home and took the long way with lots of turns and bumps some good slow and fast sections without so much as a glimmer of the problem.
Thanks again for the posts and helpful information.
:hail: to you all!
