What to do

After I get my new 350 TPI put in what is the next step I should take. Its pretty beefy from what i've been told. Had the heads reworked (not sure what he meant), ZZ9 cam, plenum ported. I'll have headers, high-flow cat and cat back by the time it comes to drop it in. But, after that what should I do? I'm thinkin either tranny or rear end. Not sure which to do first.

Specify what you mean...I assume you're not going to touch the engine further? i/e intake, etc?.

If you mean "what next", then I'd leave the rear alone, 3.23's are good TPI gears, may want to look at suspension mods to keep the power to the pavement.

Yes, tranny may be a consideration, but unless you've money to burn (other than say, a TansGo kit), just run it till it goes.

Oh yeah I definatley plan to go further with it. I plan on the whole nine yards. But I'd like to have my suspension, chassis, rearend and tranny beefed up enough before I do all the other stuff to the engine (383, sc, spray, ect) someday. The guy I bought it from has his engine setup the same in his 91Z28. He's gone through 3 sets of gears with it. Thats why i'm wanting to know. I don't have the $ to go thru gears all the time.
