First off, I havent even opened the hood yet, so I am not sure exactly what is wrong. But I do know this, I have a pool of oil underneath my car (not engine oil nor tranny fluid), and my power steering is squealing when I turn the wheels, and it wasnt like this when I parked. I cant say that the damage wasnt done before parking, just that it wasnt noticible at that time.
The steering still works, and there is still some power assist, but squealing more and more the more fluid I lose, so I am thinking that a hose has partially blown. Does this sound like a reasonable guess?

 

Just check the hoses, you WILL have to get underneath the car. 90% of the time, a hose came off or something, just put it back on. It is really hard to blow up your power steering pump, check it out.

 

yeah, a power steering pump squeeling is the most annoying sound ever.

you might get lucky and it'll just be a hose that blew off. with the amount of fluid you're leaking it should be pretty obvious where its coming from.

If you're unlucky maybe the front seal on the pump blew, although i doubt it would blow that sudden; they usually just get worse over time....
